Fail... then win

well.. anyone paying attention may have noticed that my other blog has kind of failed in the way that i have not developed a story of any kind, this is not because i could not think of a way fro it to go however, it is just because i did not have enough time and also... kind of... forgot. oh well, it will be done at some point.

well, last night was interesting. i talked to a few very nice people on writesomething.net (though it may have only been 1 person, you can never tell on that site) who told me that i should live life and do what i want to do because there is much to gain and nothing to loose. after all if you do it and it fails at least you know you have tried, if you dont do it then you may wonder forever what might have happened. i also advised someone who was having relationship 'difficulties' to put it lightly, we seemed to connect and i think she liked my advice.

im thinkning of joining the ben folds fan club, cos its cool!

ok, thats all for now i think, peace out y'all <3

Bones, season 2

Well... i got bones season 2 a few days ago and i am only up to episode 4. i must say that it is every bit as good as season 1 so far and every bit as full of emotion as season 1. i cant wait untill episode 13 in particular as that episode has stephen fry in... win :D

Not much to say right now really, just that i have just watched episode 3 (season 2) of bones and that it was very emotional expecially towards the end... well... every episode is but this one in particular due to what it involved.

Thats about it really... appart from to say my sadness at the near future closing of woolworths :(

Oh well. if I remember I will say later, anyway, strange thing to say and I don't know why but I feel the need to say it... to all I know, I am sorry if I have said anything which was or have acted inappropriately.

That's about all for now. Not much point in ever posting this eh?

Small after note

I lost my gameboy game: Pokemon firered... i fell sadened by this fact.. i rather wanted to play on it today. oh well. hopefully i should be getting pearl soon enough.

need more bones

I have just finished season 1 of bones and OMFG... what an ending, I seriously need to watch season two... like right now, I wish I had season 2, sad much :(

oh well. so I have been thinking of a few things I should really be doing. these involve

1) Get a job
2) Get a flat/house/whatever... somewhere to live basically
3) Figure out where I want to live (wait.. should this be number 2?) (possibly by a river)
4) Figure out who I want to live with if at all (again, I think this should be earlier on the list)
5) Watch bones seasons 2,3 and 4 (not as important i know but it HAS to be done)
6) Attempt more contact with the real world... I'm thinking Grant and Lucy to start off with? maybe... might attempt to talk to Laura again and hope I don't screw it up again XD
7) Maybe try to slim down a little
8) Keep up with on-line things (Web Comics, Blogs, youtube)
9) Possibly get driving/biking lessons
10)I would love to learn to play an instrument, possibly piano or violin... I'm not sure
11) find Ben Folds concerts and alert Lucy to them (if she does not already know)

Oh... grant if you read this, what are your thought of an apartment by the Tyne... I like the look of them and the thought of living by a river but they would be a little too expensive for just me. just a though

Anyway, I think that is all for now. Will speak to y'all later.

humph

Disappointed much :(

Have you ever known one of those people who you go out of your way to help, you do as much as you can for them without overdoing it because you know they need to find their own way at soem point, you go out of you way to go places and pick stuff up for them, you stay up until 11, sometimes 12 at night so that you can give them moral support and then they turn around and tell you you don't do enough for them, that your a lazy arse who sits around and doesn't care what they are doing.

It would be nice to have a bit of acknowledgement of the help you provide, maybe a please before asking to do something, not just telling me to do this or do that. a few more thank you's would be nice too but apparently that is not the way the world works, so you have to be harsh, if they are not willing to meet half way and show gratitude then neither am I.

Its a harsh world, they need to find out sooner or later that you don't just get everything you want handed to you on a silver plate.

News

Well... I have a few bits on news. the pain in tooth was not actually a pain in the tooth, it was due to an abscess in the gum so when that popped all was fine. today I went to Hawkins Bazaar, disappointed much : (. They did not have as much as last year and as my oldest brother would put it, all the items they did have were "tat". I am going back sometime however in order to to buy a "miniature Zen garden".

I also took two of my most prized possessions down to a framing shop in Shields in order to get frames for them. I will be rather pleased when I am able to hang them from my wall, safe behind glass instead of lying on my bookcase.

I still have a few programs to watch which I will make a list of here:

1) season 2, 3 and what is left of season 4 or Bones
2) 2 episodes of NCIS
3)1 episode of Big Bang Theory
4) 2 episodes of Michiko to Hatchin
4) countless films of which I cannot be bothered to list

I believe that is all for now (sorry for the boring, I will hopefully get to interesting soon)

end of an era

Well my friends, I can officially say that I no longer have any grandparents left. In the early hours of this morning my grandma (being the only grandparent i had left so far, my first grandma having died earlier on in my life, my granddad having died when I was in year 8 of high school and my other granddad having died little over a year ago) went to answer the door but was too late, she then proceeded to walk back to her lounge but at the top of the three steps which go down from the hallway to the lounge she suffered a large heart attack and fell head first into the door. my parents went over and took her to hospital but at approximately 2.15am she died painlessly (due to morphine given to her by the hospital).

This comes at a great time due to the fact my grandma was in the middle of an argument which had been going on for ages with my aunt so they haven't talked in quite a while so this will be worse for her, plus my two brothers haven't seen her for a while due to one thing or another such as being busy with work or navy.

So, now there are no grandparents left. I guess it can't be seen as too bad, after all it was said that she would not survive up to even this age having a tipple heart bypass about 17 years ago and being told she would only survive about 7 years after that, meaning she lived a good 10 years longer then expected.

So... that is all really. I cant say I'm surprised, I kind of saw this coming in a way.

So, if you read this please leave a note, so I know how many people actually read this, just so I know that this is not completely pointless.

Thanks

nose bleed

It is strange but i ave just found out how majestic and beautiful a nosebleed can look when standing in a place with a lot of water. i watched each drip role off the end of my nose and plunge into the water below slowly dispersing itself into the thin layer of water for about 3 mins untill i realised i should really make it stop... so i did. anyway, just wanted to say that, oh and that i am gettin two greatly prized possesions framed at the weekend so they should be up on my wall shortly.

...and suddenly a low

First day back, well by time I post this it may be over as it is 5 to midnight now. I have to say, after being in a hotel full of such awesome people and sharing a room with two awesome friends and what with he boat party and Ben Folds gig it really sucks to be back home and have... well... nothing. I feel kind of lonely, the feeling will go away soon enough but to be honest no matter how hard I have to work to get the money the next chance i get to do anything like that again I am going to grab instantly, whether it be EF next year of going to see another Ben Folds gig with Lucy it is utterly important for me to be there...

... first I need a job though. anyone hiring?

BEST NIGHT EVEEEEEER!!!!!

OMFG... that not only states my amazement towards the Ben Folds gig last night but also something which was projected onto the back wall at some point during the song “Hiroshima”.

OK... so... this was my first gig and I was getting very excited way before the show (though admittedly now as excited as Lucy was getting) the tube journey was great, me and Lucy danced and she also sang a bit, I have to say her singing is amazing. We arrived at “Shepherds bush empire” about an hour and a half early and started talking to people straight away. There were about 22 people already in the line when we got there but we were so excited that we didn't care, rather the same with the cold. We started looking around and found a group of people playing uno at the front of the line which was rather hellarious.

When we did get into the doors we ran in and instantly took place at the front. From our position we could not see the keys of the keyboard but we could see everything else which was amazing. The support act came on and both me and Lucy were couldn't believe it because they were a group of Geordie lasses called “Rachel Unthank and the Winterset”, from up north where we both come from. I am guessing they we were the only ones who actually understood what they were singing especially in the Northumberland one, to that song me and Lucy were bursting with excitement.

We then had to wait a little bit more but not too much as soon after they had left the stage Ben Folds came on and opened the show with “Effington” which has to be one of my more favourite songs. He actually forgot the words to some of the second which was hellarious. There was for the most a five piece with a triangle player who occasionally switched to the tambourine. There was also a guy with a French horn which was pretty neat and then there was the bassist and the drummer. The drummer was mental through the full show, he even broke one of the drumsticks during the first song which came flying towards me and Lucy landing close but just out of reach which was rather saddening.

There were parts when it was just Ben, the drummer and the bassist which made them sound deeper then when there were 5. there was also a bit when there was only Ben himself, at those points the whole atmosphere became a little quieter and Ben had just one small spotlight shining on him which has to be one of the most breathtaking scenes I have ever witnessed. After though the rest would come back on stage and the whole room would erupt.

Through the whole show there were other things to keep the audience involved, for example the large display being projected onto the back wall kept flashing up with hellarious pictures (such as OMFG) and there were certain songs which you could tell entranced the whole audience such as “Landed”

All in all his set lasted about 2 hours which was great. After the show had finished (at this point I forgot to ask someone if I could have the half a drumstick... Darn) we squeezed though the crowd to get outside as quickly as possible and get round to the stage door. At first there were about 12/13 people but they trundled off and we were left as a group of 6 by about 11.45ish when Ben came out. He stood and chatted for a while and let people have autographs and pictures with him. I asked if I could give him a piggy back, explaining that it is my life's ambition to give a celebrity a piggyback and he refused... in a nice way. He did gave me a hug though and an autograph with a little picture of a piano. He also hugged Lucy and said he would play “Brick” at his next gig when she requested it and then when he was walking away she asked him to make the shape of a less-then-three heart which he did while asking what it was, I think he knows now cos after he walked away again he turned around and did it to her again.

So next time there is a gig me and Lucy have made a promise that depending on where it is (Newcastle of London) either she will come up here or I will go down there so that will be great.

Anyway, I am off as I need rest so YEEEEEEY, it was epic, Ben folds is a god, a master and a guru.

Night all :D

p.s. this beats the boat party from the night before
